ER Registered Nurse - Travel

Emergency Department
Location: Birmingham, AL

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients across all age groups in the Emergency Department and Nursing Unit. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, ranging from neonates to older adults.
Collaborate with the Patient Care Services Manager and other healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams aimed at improving patient outcomes through process improvements and advanced team technologies.
Perform triage and provide prompt emergency interventions as needed.
Monitor and document patient conditions, responses to treatments, and progress.
Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to hospital policies and guidelines for patient care.

Qualifications:
Current Alabama license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by the end of the provisional employment period.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within one year of employment.
Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting preferred.
Knowledge of clinical ophthalmology and terminology is an asset.
