Axient is currently seeking a qualified Aviation and Missile Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Analyst and Trainer to support impacts of corrosion on Army aviation and missile systems in Huntsville, AL. What you will do This position will act as a NDT Analyst supporting the AMCOM NDT & Corrosion Program Office (CPO) addressing and training Army aviation and missile system support personnel in these disciplines. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Provide, develop, and maintain an NDT training program suitable to train both the acquisition and maintenance communities for Active Army, Reserve and National Guard units, both CONUS and OCONUS. Develop and implement a coherent NDT Testing Plans, ensuring the use of the most up-to-date materials and process information. Develop, deliver, and provide unit level NDT training with necessary aides, newsletters, handouts, and other educational material needed. Perform analysis, test, and evaluation of NDT systems and processes. Plan and conduct analysis programs or studies to establish the feasibility of systems/subsystems/components meeting requirements and/or adequacy of design for NDT. Develop and provide Progress Reports Perform data reduction, organize, and analyze test data, develop, and review test plans in accordance with DI-NDTI-80566, draft and review proposals, and provide final reports as required for NDT related evaluations. Provide technical expertise to research, and development of exploratory and advanced development projects, and/or programs to advance technologies relevant to NDT. Develop and integrate NDT and related advanced technologies including guidance Skills you will need NDT Qualification/Certification requirements: Current NAS 410 Level 2 certification in the following methods: (ET, UT, MT, PT) Minimum experience per NAS 410 to pass examinations and secure for Level 3 certifications in ET, UT, MT & PT within 8 weeks of start date Current ASNT certification in the applicable methods is acceptable Preferred Experience/Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have NAS-410 National Aerospace Standard (Revision 3) certification/training. Minimum of 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience working with Army and DOD databases to extract data for analysis. Working knowledge of Army Database software applications such as ULLS-A, ACN, RIMFIRE, FMAS, ASAP, MCDS, JDRS, PDREP, TAMMS-A. Performed duties as a Test Pilot, Technical Inspector or Maintenance phase team leader. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to effectively communicate through both oral and written communication between multiple stakeholders both government and contractor. Proven record in training technical procedures and methods. Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
