Location: Huntsville, AL
Status: Full Time Exempt Position Description: The DevSecOps Engineer works as a member of a DevSecOps team focusing on automation development, testing, and deployment through the entire Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work to bring modern software development techniques to our DOD customers. The DevSecOps Engineer serves as an escalation point for critical and complex issues, performs configuration, integration, and testing of products, assists with developing and documenting work processes, and trains other team members. Required Qualifications: • Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, technically strong and highly motivated entry-level candidates will be considered • This contract requires a security clearance, and eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens in order to obtain a clearance. • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams in the maintenance and development of various CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, and automated software builds, and tests. • Design, implement, and maintain systems of varying complexity that support , the DevSecOps paradigm of software development processes in a Linux and Windows environment • Experience with integrating Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies and techniques • Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages • Experience working with Software Development Lifecycle tools, such as Git, Jira and Jenkins • Must be proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, YML). • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into DevSecOps workflows. • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and educate development and operations teams on security best practices • Soft skills like problem-solving, communication and collaboration are crucial for this role. Required Certification (s) : • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (one or more) of the following: o CCNA - Security o CySA+ o GICSP o GSEC o Security + CE o CND o SSCP o Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) o AWS Cloud Practitioner Other Desired Qualifications: • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems like Elastic, Wazuh, Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar, ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Java, Python, Go, Ruby, C++, etc. • Experience working with containers (Kubernetes, Docker) • Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Vagrant, Puppet, Terraform, and similar tool-sets • Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS and Azure) About Gray Analytics Gray Analytics values our employees as our most important resource.
