We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer II for the RWESS, supporting the Army Division. The Engineer II position supports the Redstone Test Center's (RTC) ECE Division in the area of Radio Frequency (RF) testing to MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD-464, ADS-37A-PRF. The Engineer II will serve as a test engineer for Army Ground, Missile, and Aviation systems and subsystems. This position will work closely with E3 customers to gather test requirements, plan, execute, and report on test programs. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS: Full Time TRAVEL: 0% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Must possess a Bachelor's in Engineering in designated area of specialization or related discipline from an accredited college/university. Minimum of 3 years experience performing research, design, development, test or supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use; and performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test, and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, TEAMS, OneNote) and well organized. Excellent written and communication skills are required. Ability to work independently or with a highly diverse team to include technicians, engineers, technical writers, and subject matter experts. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 3-5 years of experience planning, executing, and reporting on developmental test and evaluation efforts would be beneficial, but not required. Experience or familiarity with electromagnetic environmental effects principles is desired. Electrical Engineering Major preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively gather customer testing requirements for new test programs, then plan, execute, and report on programs. Manage program cost expenditures and monitor/manage program schedules to remain on time and budget. Develop test plans and safety documentation and participate in document peer reviews. Execute MIL-STD-461/464 testing alongside experienced technicians. Analyze test data for accuracy and completeness. Write reporting deliverables for customers.
