Job description

SMX is looking for Scheduler to support our Elite Team in the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Project Office. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of scheduling experience as part of the acquisition program. This is a hybrid role working from our customer site in Huntsville, AL. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Gather data, establish, and maintain a Project Master Schedule for an Army Aviation Acquisition Program utilizing Primavera. Coordinate and align inputs from participating groups.
• Conducting schedule analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best practices. • Conduct trend analysis, baseline vs current, margin assessment, cost/schedule risk assessments, duration compression and health checks.
• Tracking schedule progress and developing custom reports/metrics • Providing guidance and recommendations on schedule work-arounds and recovery plans for customers to make effective decisions • Conducting cost and schedule integration, ensuring budget and resource requirements for programs/projects are realistic and achievable. Assessing the impacts resulting from changes to project cost, schedule or technical baselines
• Update at specified intervals the current status of the project, variances and related actions. Obtain from participating groups monthly progress updates to schedule activities and consolidate into the project master schedule. • Interpret the results of the subsequent analyses, identifying critical activities and their effects on the schedule and validate that remedial actions will meet customer requirements.
• Report the project status to the Stakeholders and develop "what if" scenarios and recovery plans as needed. Maintain and operate change control process.
• Participate in the Risk Management process and manage schedule related mitigation and avoidance actions.
• Conduct Earned Value Management reporting and monitoring on a monthly basis.
• Analyze performance data and prepare Estimates at Completion (EACs). Support the annual PPBE process internal to the Project Office.
• Providing expert guidance and implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools
• Preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances.
• Conduct weekly IMS reviews
• Participate in change control boards and other meetings as required to ensure proper resource planning and forecasting Required Skills/Experience: • 8 years of experience in developing and executing Master Schedules for acquisition programs.
• Must be fully trained/experienced in Primavera as a scheduling tool.
• Must be experienced in EVM and establishing EACs.
• Experience in managing life cycle support strategies and the required acquisition documentation.
• Knowledge and experience managing, planning, and executing complex projects
• Ability to support complex acquisition development projects. • Work effectively with others and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Teamwork focused on conducting studies, logistics and technical projects, or problem resolution.
• Strong interpersonal relations skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
