Job description

Join Point Solutions Group and our Federal Services Team supporting Missile Space Intelligence near Huntsville AL. We are looking for a Linux Systems Analyst that will support programs on-site at Red Stone Arsenal. Candidates will need a minimum active Top Secret Clearance, with SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph. Job Responsibilities: Conduct root-cause analysis of service interruptions and set up preventive measures.
Monitor user workloads to determine best practice remediations of deficiencies or inefficiencies.
Create, update, and support documentation of guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls.
Perform system administration tasks such as managing user/group, security permissions, and policies.
Monitor system health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
Architect, implement, and maintain solutions that meet customer needs.
Minimum Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (TS SCI) and Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph within 180 days of hire.
Certified at DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent).
Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field. ( Degree must meet minimum requirement for the SCOAA LCAT submitted).
Hardware troubleshooting (Power, Mainboard, CPUs, PCIe, RAM, Local Storage, Network).
Linux workstation and/or server operating system administration (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9, CentOS 7/8).
Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (TS SCI) and Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph.
Operating Environment Certification (Linux Professional Institute (LPI) LPIC-1, LPI LPIC-2, CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or equivalent Linux certification).
Containerized workload management (Apptainer, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman, Pyrix, Enroot).
Data center virtualization (VMware Horizon, vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix, AppVol, Grid, KVM, Qemu, RHEV).
Enterprise and data center storage management (DDN, NetApp, Quantum, Spectra Logic, NAS, SAN, GPFS, NFS, CIFS, Lustre).
HPC Scheduling (Slurm, Torque, PBS, MOAB, Kubernetes, LSF).
Network administration and management (InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA, RoCE, Virtualized, Cisco, Cisco ACI, Nvidia, Mellanox, TCP/IP, Route/Switch, VLANS, VXLAN).
Network protocols, services, and infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, NFS, SMB/CIFS, LDAP).
Programming/scripting in high-level languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Patch and security management and orchestrations (SCCM, Ansible, Spack, Puppet).
