Job description
Duties Implements policy, program planning, and program execution in the logistics operations area of responsibility Manages and coordinates all logistical activities. Directs all maintenance, supply, transportation, property accountability, personnel tool kit issues, and other related logistical activities. Interprets objectives and guidance received from the 93d Signal Brigade, 7th Signal Command, Headquarters and NETCOM relating to acquisition and logistical operations. Interprets incoming policy and directives and develops procedural guidance. Maintains liaison with the 93d Signal Brigade S4 and the Installation Property Book Office (PBO). Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. TDY up to 15% may be required. Required to possess a valid driver's license to support unit/activity customer service support requirements. OVERTIME AND ON-CALL DUTY MAY BE REQUIRED ON SHORT NOTICE TO INCLUDE NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS, AND WEEKENDS IN SUPPORT OF RELATED MISSION REQUIREMENTS. Shift work - Required to perform 24 X 7 shift work in support of operational IT related mission/after duty hours on call/emergency requirements. Must be able to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. A pre-employment physical is required. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Executing logistics operations policies within an organization, 2) Developing procedures to oversee logistical operations and management of resources, 3) Advising an organization on alternate courses of action to resolve issues, and 4) Providing technical guidance in various areas (for example: supply, transportation, and fleet management, and Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management, Materials Movement, Supply Chain and/or Property Management, and Management Information System. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
