We are seeking an exceptionally talented Radar Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of missile defense systems. As a Radar Modeling & Simulation Engineer at BlueHalo, you will leverage your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support the development of ground-based missile defense radar systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Prime Contractors, providing vital modeling and simulation engineering support. Key Responsibilities: Modeling & Simulation Support: Develop and maintain modeling and simulation baseline configurations, aligning them with tactical system configuration build plans, and identify system capabilities and limitations. Technical Analysis: Analyze complex data, arrive at logical conclusions, and make informed recommendations to support decision-making. System Accreditation: Support the accreditation of the modeling and simulation system, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements. Documentation & Reporting: Develop and review technical memorandums, white papers, and briefings. Present findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with leadership and contractor teams on modeling and simulation data rights issues. Deliver briefings on product plans and results to the Modeling and Simulation team, test communities, and leadership. Problem Resolution: Address technical issues, ensuring contractor requirements are met and resolving engineering issues across multiple projects, programs, and MDA directorates. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects. Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM). Strong knowledge of phased array radar theory, function, and design. Active Secret Clearance or higher. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with Radar Modeling and Simulation Frameworks. Experience with modeling and simulation verification and validation. Strong independent work ethic, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Program management experience. Familiarity with systems engineering "V" processes. Ability to work across organizational boundaries and present complex information to leaders at various levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of MDA Change Management Process, systems engineering processes, and procedures. Understanding of Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and concepts.
