Job Description Part Time Sleep Technologist Shift: 10-12 hour shifts MUST be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules. Sleep Lab Experience REQUIRED. Job Responsibilities: Performs all types of diagnostic testing offered in the department. Functions include equipment and patient calibration, set-up, performance, documentation, and troubleshooting of Polysomnographic recordings, tabulation and processing of test information, sleep laboratory logistical operations. Performs oversight, education and training of PSG and student technologists during the work shift. Participates in performance improvement program and new program development. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Certification or Registered preferred. Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules. Non-registered technologists and technicians must complete the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment. CMA, PCT experience preferred.
