Job description

Torch Technologies is looking for a driven junior Software Developer to be a vital part of the team supporting the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test (GT) scenario design. This role plays a crucial part in assessing national defense systems through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and simulation tests. The Software Developer will work with a team of skilled engineers and other software developers to create innovative, custom web applications that drive Scenario Design, from conception through execution. Our team is actively advancing our tools and processes, modernizing the entire Scenario Design pipeline for greater efficiency and impact. This position will work with a SQL-based data structure and engage in full-stack development, contributing directly to the core of our nation's defense assessment capabilities. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering , Computer Science, or a related technical field. 2+ years of experience in front-end/back-end development. Strong ability to translate user needs into effective technical solutions. Eagerness to learn and bring innovative ideas to the team. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Ability to obtain/maintain an active secret clearance Preferred Skills: Experience with SQL, C#, JavaScript, and Kendo. Solid background in object-oriented programming-while C# is preferred, experience in other OOP languages like Java or C++ is highly valued and transferable. Familiarity with modern web frameworks and database optimization.
