Software Developer Position Description US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED CGI Federal is currently looking for Software Developers with active Top-Secret clearance to support a large project for a federal government client. The Software Developers will be responsible for leading Agile software development and system integration efforts, encompassing initial planning, design, software development and coding, prototyping, auditable documentation, manual testing, automated testing, and configuration. This position is located in Huntsville, AL or Washington DC. Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead software development and modernization teams using Agile methods.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Technical Architect and Business Analysts to meet the client's enterprise business objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Work in conjunction with the Code Transformation Team to ensure modernized code products align with client, Senior Technical Architect, and Business Analyst requirements.
• Ensure the modernization and re-integration of all legacy mainframe system interfaces into the modernized application platform.
• Support unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Track and resolve software development bugs to closure.
• Adhere to Agile and test-driven development principles with comprehensive documentation, user-centered design, and an extensible infrastructure.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts, utilities, and data sets using commercial and/or open-source tools.
• Perform application and system software maintenance.
• Design, develop, test, and package changes to system and software.
• Operate and maintain prototype applications, models, and databases to determine optimal solutions.
• Conduct system performance tuning and integration services in classified and unclassified enclaves.
• Manage the design, testing, deployment, and sustainment of systems and application platforms, ensuring interoperability and integration between systems. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Active Top-Secret clearance.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, integrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed systems using agile lifecycle management and engineering practices.
• Software development and maintenance of internal/external interfaces with systems that provide data (IC Data Services, OGA Systems on the Unclassified side, Internal FBI Systems, etc.)
• Practice in Agile methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, customers, and support personnel. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Mid-level Software Developer. Please note that US Citizenship is required for this government contract position. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $150,200.00.
