Become a part of something meaningful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work As a Systems Engineer for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Sustainment Engineering team, you will work in a collaborative environment resolving reported operational issues at GMD Sites and labs. You will act as the interface between GWS and the operational sites, providing engineering resolutions and site work instructions, and coordinating long-term solutions to reported issues. You will be required to analyze data and present status and problem resolutions to the GWS MDA customer. Who We Are

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in a STEM related field
- Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance - Demonstrated ability to write clear and executable work instructions
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience presenting technical information to customers
- Proficiency with some or all of the following: SAP HANA, SAP Production Environment, Tableau, Jira, Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills, independently addressing and resolving issues and reporting on results
- Ability to interpret system drawings and wiring diagrams
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
- Must be able to travel occasionally to support events at GMD sites
Desired Skills:
- Professional experience with weapon systems platforms and sustainment of mission critical systems
- Experience troubleshooting both hardware and software issues
- Experience in Agile Scrum team development environments
- Experience working across disciplines including: Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (I&T), Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis, Hardware (HW), Software (SW), Firmware (FW), and their integration
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DOD) contracts
- Experience with Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs) and Indentured Parts Lists (IPLs) for obsolescence analysis
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
