ACAS Engineer Full Time Montgomery, AL Secret clearance This position is contingent upon contract award Overview: Semper Valens is seeking qualified candidates for the position of ACAS Engineer to support the AFINC III contract with the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26NOS) in Montgomery, Alabama. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network, operating and defending the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network, including the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets. The ACAS Engineer will play a critical role in managing all Air Force network boundary AFINC systems, including updates, life cycle management, IAVMs, and software patches, ensuring the security and integrity of the network. Responsibilities: Independently manage the baseline configuration, operation, and best practices for the vulnerability management solution (VMS) deployed across multiple unclassified and classified network locations. Support the implementation of Tenable products within the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Ensure compliance with DoD and DAF regulations by evaluating Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), implementing corrective actions, and scanning/reporting on the success of these actions. Install and patch operating systems and applications while documenting DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) for both NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. Acquire, configure, and manage external deliverables such as DISA/Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS), vulnerability/security audit plug-ins, and DoD Patch Repository Defense Asset Distribution System (DADS). Coordinate system activities including deployment, configuration, monitoring, tuning, upgrading, and troubleshooting of Tenable components across local, remote, and complex environments. Assist in creating Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages. Education/Experience: BS degree and 3-6 years of relevant experience. 1-4 years of hands-on experience with ACAS and/or Tenable.sc (SecurityCenter) or Tenable Nessus products. Requires one of the following DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE (ISC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) Requires one of the following Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications: Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) LPIC-1 Linux+ Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance About Semper Valens Solutions: Semper Valens Solutions, Inc.
