Position Overview The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) requires technical expertise to support the existing capabilities of the Network Operations Branch of the Operations Division (GBO) of the Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate. The Intermediate Configuration Management Specialist will assist in the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems and electronic data systems, and electronic data support, and they will develop and design configuration/data management documentation. Essential Job Function Track, log, categorize, and maintain changes made against the accepted Air Force baseline(s) standards. Coordinate, track, and fulfill customer needs and work between NCC work centers to see Change Requests through to solution/closing. Assist in preparing/executing and attending regularly scheduled Change Advisory Boards (CAB) in support of the AFMC Gunter Network changes. Act as the liaison between the customer and outside agencies/activities such as the 83 NOS. Provide data with a locally developed database tracking utility for the management of software maintenance contracts, software applications, and associated software licenses. Assist in coordinating, attending, and conducting the Software Requirements Review Board (SRRB) for BES's current 51 Air Force level Program Management Offices (PMOs). Review and validate Communications-Computer System Requirements Documents (C4RDs) for all software requirements, ensuring the required software is approved for use on the Gunter network by validating authorization against higher level policy and approved product lists. Assist in the biannual software license management review, ensuring the correct information is documented in the locally developed database, and recoup licenses that are no longer utilized Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must have a SECRET security clearance. Must possess Communications Environment (CE) certification upon start of contract.
