Job description

Selected candidate will provide a full range of instructor support for the Strategic Deterrence course offered at Maxwell AFB, AL. This support includes: Curriculum Development Support: Design, prepare and maintain programs (e.g. in-residence, distance learning, blended learning formats, etc.) required for the civilian, enlisted and officer education including expeditionary Airman requirements in the appropriate subject areas (e.g. Language, Region, Culture, and Negotiation (LRCN); regionally enabled professionals, etc.)
Curriculum Media/Technology Development/Support: Design, prepare and maintain a variety of products which support the Client and its programs. These products may be incorporated into the Client's in-residence, distance learning, and blended learning courses required for the civilian, enlisted and officer education continua, as well as courses required for expeditionary Airmen. The contractor shall use Client-directed information systems (e.g. the Client is currently using Canvas and ADLS) to ensure timely and accurate execution of course support from course registration through graduation
Student Management & Oversight: Provide management and oversight of Center for Strategic Deterrence Studies (CSDS) led on-line courses using existing AU information systems to ensure timely and accurate execution of CSDS course support from course registration through graduation. The contractor will be responsible for supporting the execution of four to six sections of each Distance Learning course per year.
Responsibilities include: Providing instructional support and curriculum development for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Enterprise education courses through the Air Force Center for Strategic Deterrence Studies Providing strategic deterrence mission expertise to develop and facilitate a distance learning course for nuclear enterprise professionals between their first to third year performing duties in the enterprise before they are eligible for in residence nuclear professional continuing education.
Serving as a Strategic Deterrence Subject-Matter-Expert in the development and update of course content and educational materials.
Job Requirements Must be an Instructional Design Specialist or ISD certified (highly desirable)
Extensive expertise and knowledge of nuclear deterrence concepts.
Must have Masters or PhD in the appropriate and specific experience area (e.g. LRCN/SLC/WMD) and/or acknowledged expertise in the appropriate experience area
Must have SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.
