Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. This role involves designing and implementing hardware and software solutions, monitoring system performance, and ensuring network reliability across various platforms. Key Responsibilities: Plan and engineer an organization's systems infrastructure, including the design and implementation of hardware and software.
Monitor system performance and ensure network availability for all users.
Install, configure, and support the NetOps Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and other data communication systems and segments of network systems.
Maintain network hardware and software, monitor network to ensure availability to all system users, and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Lead, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
Provide leadership/mentorship to junior and mid-level network engineers.
Provide support to projects that involve networks, perform a full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies within a single network, evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.
Plan new configurations for integration into the network, using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance.
Ensure adequate and appropriate planning is provided for hardware and communications facilities to develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of voice communications systems.
Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice) requirements, designs, and orders.
Maintain and develop network topology drawings.
Minimum Requirements 7+ Years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with multiple platforms including Microsoft, Linux, Unix, and Virtual Systems/infrastructure.
Ability to rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
An active Secret security clearance is required.
A CCNP- Enterprise, Routing and Switching, or Data Center Certification is required.
A COMPTIA Security+ CE Certification is required.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
