JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Driver
Department: Financial Assitance Department (FAD)
Reports To: Administrative Support Manager
Supervises: None
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: N3
Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

General Functions:
This position will be responsible for providing transportation services to Financial Assistance Department (FAD) staff and program participants. This will include but is not limited to, providing transportation services for participants to obtain services from Cook Inlet Tribal Council to appointments with other community resource agencies, and community events. The Driver will provide support to FADby transporting staff members to home visits and community meetings. The Driver also purchases and delivers supplies/food for FAD and participants, serves as a backup courier, and provides administrative and front desk support as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Provide transportation services for participants to their essential appointments, community events, and meetings.
- Provide professional customer service to all CITC staff, participants, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Answer phone calls, respond to all general email inquiries, greet guests, and route all employee and participant questions to the proper staff.
- Keep essential communication information in the workspace current.
- Create, file, organize, and maintain any files and folders both in paper and electronic form.
- Make photo copies, transmit documents, order office supplies and perform other clerical functions.
- Create gas card reconciliations.
- Prepare letters, documents, expense reports, invoices, and other correspondence as requested.
- Ensure that participants are given all necessary accommodations while receiving transportation services.
- Transport staff to essential appointments/home visits with participants.
- Purchase and deliver supplies from various vendors to FAD.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and fueled at all times. Notify the Office Manager when vehicles need service/repair.
- Provide courier services to FAD.
- Maintain an accurate record of all driving services provided and participants transported.
- Greet all staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Perform all assigned duties following OSHA safety and health standards.
- Provide back up support for the administrative support staff.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with CITC staff and consumers alike.
- Participate in scheduled internal/external meetings/training as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality according to regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs all other related duties as needed and assigned.
Job Specifications:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to prioritize and keep a schedule of daily activities.
- Knowledge of standard office computer use, such as email, Microsoft Office software, etc.
- Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to use hand tools and necessary equipment required to complete tasks required by essential job functions.
- Ability to do repetitive lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices.
- Ability to work with people professionally and courteously.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Four years experience in administrative, clerical, general office or business, or a related field.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Experience using basic hand tools.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory report from a state and federal background check.
- Valid Alaska Driver's License and be insurable under CITC's automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age and have had a driver's license for at least three years.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily works in an office setting, with extended periods of time at a desk and on a computer.
