Furniture Enterprises of Alaska's Administration Team provides excellent support company wide. This position is part of a highly motivated team working in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations and be able to provide support in all areas of HR.

Details:

  • Full Time, Monday-Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) ONSITE

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related issues
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding activities
  • Maintain and update employee handbook as needed
  • Assist in the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs
  • Stay up to date with HR trends and best practices

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or
  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of employees (Hourly to Executive level)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (ADP)
  • Some travel between stores is required.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing and background check.
