What You Will Be Doing: As the Medicaid Program Specialist 1, you will be pivotal in the Systems and Analysis unit, directly supporting the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). You'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in quality control, contract oversight, and DDI (design, development, and implementation) tasks. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in monitoring changes in health industry standards and federal and state requirements related to Medicaid and the MMIS. As the provider functional area specialist, you will be vital in driving successful outcomes and ensuring the system meets the needs of providers and stakeholders. The office is located at 4601 Business Park Blvd, Bldg. K in Anchorage is conveniently situated near shopping, restaurants, and commuting. Free parking is also available. Special Note: "Competencies" means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation. "Training" and "education" in this guidance are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction.
