Job description
The Operations Supervisor at Pegasus Aviation Services plays a critical role in achieving company goals by providing high-quality services to our customers. This position is the face of the company in daily interactions with customers, airport officials, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. The Operations Supervisor assists in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient airport operations. This position reports directly to Operations Manager. Responsibilities Train and supervise all Operations Agents and manage workload assignments.
Provide flight operations support to airline crew members.
Serve as the main point of contact for coordination between Airport Operations, Airport Police, catering, fueling, CBP, TSA, hotels, and transportation companies.
Maintain accurate and timely updates to the Pegasus Intranet for customer airlines.
Monitor aircraft movements to ensure timely and accurate arrival information is communicated to Pegasus staff for adequate manpower allocation.
Interact professionally with customer airline staff as needed.
Carry and operate a radio/pager as required.
Support other Pegasus departments as needed.
Always maintain a professional demeanor.
Ensure accuracy in numerical tasks.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Must be willing to get qualified on multiple customer airlines to ensure operational flexibility. Qualifications Proficiency in Windows-based computer programs, including Excel and Word.
Prior experience in airline operations and customer service.
Valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
U.S. citizen or proof of right to work in the U.S.
High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Strong flight crew and customer relationship management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to present a clean and organized work area.
Self-motivated, team player, and reliable.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on varying schedules.
Successfully pass a background check, FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre-employment drug screening.
Able to obtain an airport badge with U.S. Customs clearance.
Desired Qualifications: Aircraft Dispatcher certification.
Previous experience as an Operations Agent.
Skills and Competencies: Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policies, and procedures. Capable of writing reports and communicating effectively with customers and employees.
Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Abilities: Apply common sense and problem-solving skills in standardized situations. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Physical Requirements: The Operations Supervisor may occasionally need to lift or move up to 200 pounds with assistance, frequently lift or move 70 to 100 pounds, and constantly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, and occasionally climb stairs or balance.
Exposure to varying weather conditions.
The work environment noise level varies from moderate to high, especially during aircraft arrivals (hearing protection provided).
