Job description

Position Summary: Under minimal supervision, processes packaging lists and requisitions, adjustments, and other transactions through the Materials Management Information system daily. Should be familiar with terminology of supplies and stock item needs for all areas of the hospital and off-site facilities.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Computer experience, Microsoft Word and Excel highly desired. Other office duties, good listening skill, organizational skill, filing for audit trail
  • Valid Alaska Drivers License
  • Computer, fax and copier
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple/complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write or verbally communicate with customers, peers and management.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Calculate stock re-order minimum and maximum quantities for re-order. Ability to maintain correct on hand inventory balances using cycle counting.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
