Family Medicine Opening in Alaska _x000D_Fairbanks, AK_x000D_Full Time_x000D_Employed_x000D x000D_This position provides comprehensive coordinated primary and preventive health care services to an ethnically diverse patient population within their appropriate scope of practice._x000D x000D_Minimum Qualifications:_x000D x000D_Education:_x000D_ Physician licensed to practice in the State of Alaska; Board Certified in appropriate primary care specialty. _x000D_ Current certification in BLS._x000D x000D_Experience:_x000D_ Graduation from residency program; currently practicing Family Practice with Obstetric care; Family Practice without Obstetric care preferred. _x000D x000D_Essential Functions:_x000D_ Provide direct outpatient patient care in accordance with productivity expectations._x000D_ Coordinate inpatient care with other physicians at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Denali Center._x000D_ Provide consultation to Advanced Practice Providers._x000D_ Provide after-hours call coverage in coordination with other medical staff ensuring continuity of patient care._x000D_ Coordinate with Centers and communitys providers ensuring delivery of integrated comprehensive primary care services._x000D_ Work as interdisciplinary team member with Clinical Staff Coordinator, Nurse Case Manager, Behavioral Health Providers and clinical support staff._x000D_ Participate in the Patient-Centered Medical Home activities, including oversight of pre-visit preparation and running daily team huddles._x000D_ Participate in continuous quality improvement activities._x000D_ Assist in development and review of clinical procedures._x000D_ Remain current with standards of primary health care practice._x000D_ Comply with centers policies and procedures._x000D_ Utilize personal computer._x000D_ Other duties as assigned._x000D x000D_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_x000D_ Ability to support and work collaboratively with clinicians and administrators to oversee clinical and business plan._x000D_ Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital within outpatient scope of practice._x000D_ Experience in dealing with medically underserved populations and cultural competency._x000D_ Ability to coordinate care with physicians and other allied health and social service providers._x000D_ Ability to provide consultation to Advanced Practice Providers (e.g. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)._x000D_ Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and negotiation skills._x000D_ Ability to work as successful integrated multi-disciplinary primary health care team.
