Job description
Duties Conducts planning and coordination for joint logistical support for units throughout USARAK for contingency operations and for support of Homeland Defense Operations. Develops and executes long- and short- range plans, programs and operating procedures to ensure accomplishment of the 11th ABN/USARAK Logistical mission with primary emphasis on aviation logistics and sustainment operations. Responsible for utilizing the Logistics Reporting Program under the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS, AR 700-138, DA PAM 738-750, DA PAM 738-751). Identifies Aviation mobilization and deployment issues applicable to mobilization of within-state active duty and reserve components and the reception of mobilized units from outside Alaska. Serves as Force Modernization Systems Manager (FMSM) for the command, monitoring the total fielding requirements (Logistics, Personnel, Engineering, Budgeting, Training, Security, etc.) for systems scheduled to arrive in Alaska. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Temporary duty (TDY) under Field Duty is required 5% of the time. Must pass a preemployment physical and one every two-years thereafter. Incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
