This position is responsible for operating the physio monitoring system and complex imaging equipment, also serves in the role of scrub tech assisting the cardiologist or vascular surgeon during cardiovascular/interventional procedures. Additional duties as assigned.

The CV Tech is responsible for assisting in maintaining the environment and will report issues with supplies and/or staff to the Lead Tech.

Responsibilities:
Able to scrub, circulate and operate in the control room for all procedures in the Cardiac Cath Laboratory
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for the patient's age
Assures radiation safety and monitoring and compliance with rules and regulations in accordance with the Arizona Bureau of Radiation Control within the facilities
Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for procedures. Gives patient explanations and verbal reassurances consistently
Sets up and scrubs for procedures in a timely manner that allows the patient to come into the room 5 minutes prior to schedule start time
Maintains aseptic technique when opening sterile supplies, setting up procedures and during all invasive procedures
Assists in the cleanup of room following procedure to include appropriate disposal of used supplies, handling of instruments, returning and restocking of supplies. Also participates in the restocking, resupplying, and cleaning of the support areas.
Operates all equipment safely and correctly. Performs preventative maintenance as needed. Ensures proper functioning prior to each procedure
Ability to work as a team member, assists physicians and assists the with the interpretations of data collected

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program
Current ARRT certification and State Licensure
One years' experience in a cardiovascular lab required
Current ACLS/BLS Certification
Travel to other local sites may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
