Job description
SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall planning and execution of all phases of a project to ensure that it is completed in an efficient, timely, cost effective manner that fosters good will and customer satisfaction. To represent the company both internally and externally in all matters pertaining to the Service Department and, in particular, Retrofit and to do so in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyzes each new project with regard to:
Successfully meeting project goals and deadlines
Ensuring cost effective use of time, materials and manpower
Anticipating problems that may prohibit successful, on-time completion of the project
Check all equipment delivered for proper voltage, application and condition
Functions as a "hand-on" lead person while coordinating and participating in all aspects of completing the project. This involves utilizing a diverse set of skills along with demonstrating the ability to effectively create solutions to one-of-a-kind situations. Functions as a liaison between Comfort Systems USA Southwest and client representatives. Maintains an on-the-job demeanor that fosters good will, high moral standards, and ethical conduct.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation instructions
Startup and commissioning of installed equipment
Brazing and solder copper
Trouble shot, diagnose and repair HVAC control problems with new or existing equipment.
Trouble shot, diagnose and repair mechanical and or electrical problems with new or existing equipment.
Completes the project punch list to ensure that the job has been successfully completed with customer satisfaction and no outstanding requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
