JOB SUMMARY Encore, an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC), is currently HQ in San Antonio, Texas. Encore has been supporting Federal, State and local governments, as well as commercial customers, for over 25 years. The SCIPPD Substation Electrician will be responsible for providing on-site support for the SCIPPD electric grid substations, including spare equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for providing guidance and will perform scheduled maintenance on substation equipment and relaying. • Relay testing and calibrating (electro-mechanical and micro-processor based) • Test and write corrective procedures for substation breakers, fuses, disconnects, current and potential transformers, and substation transformers. • Complete oil testing for DGA analysis. • Provide testing Standard Operating Procedures for review prior to test. • Collaborate with engineering and operations for long outages in substations. • Test all grounding equipment inside the substation, including grid and mats. • Perform red and green mark ups on existing drawings to bring current. • Create reports with technical and nontechnical readers to understand the data and next steps needed to help SCIPPD create an equipment health index. MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Contractor must be able to report on-site or virtually for SCIPPD related work, including meetings and reporting, and electrical system coordination through December 31, 2029; SCIPPD System reliability services qualifications must meet the following conditions: • Must have 5 years' experience with electrical substation environments.
• Must have 5 years' experience with reporting and data collection of system equipment. MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
• Public Trust Clearance
• Must be NETA certified
