Job Title: Software Test and Evaluation Specialist

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret SUMMARY WHAT IS DISA JITC TEC II? DISA's mission is to conduct DODIN operations for the joint warfighter to enable lethality across all warfighting domains in defense of our Nation. DISA is a combat support agency of the Department of Defense (DoD). The agency is composed of more than 8,000 military and civilian employees. The agency provides, operates, and assures command and control and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of military operations.
Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC's service requirements are categorized in the following areas: T&E Performance Requirements, T&E Capability Management Requirements, T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO) Requirements. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced Information Technology/National Security System capabilities. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Applies common T&E practices that include identification of capability requirements, meeting stakeholder needs, development of testing and evaluation approaches, development of data collection strategies, authentication, and validation of data, and reporting clear and understandable results, and providing actionable recommendations to improve the operational effectiveness of system tested.
• Review and analyze schematics, and technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications. Must be able to review, analyze, and interpret stakeholders needs. Solicits system requirements and associated operational environments to produce an evaluation approach that supports Test & Evaluation objectives.
• Develop Test Scenarios and Test Scripts to support the conduct of the System Under Test (SUT). Define testing scenarios, identify and prepare test data, and translate requirements into detailed test cases. Recommends adjustments to the T&E processes or detailed procedures, if appropriate.
• Conduct the system under test developmental and functional test events. • Must be able to document, notify, brief, and discuss results. Records all initial findings and documents final test results in a government approved formatted formal report. Develop Test Reports, Emerging Results Brief, and/or memorandums.
• Attend various teleconferences, meetings and working groups. Interact with customers to understand product requirements.
• Provide Task lead and administrative task support such as Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), Weekly Status Reports (WARs) and meeting minutes.
• Have practical and working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-starter, self-motivated, proactive team player.

• Requires 8 years of specialized and/or military experience ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
• Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to the task lead and project manager.
• Secret security clearance.
• Ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances. Preferred Skills

• Section 508 general knowledge WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions
• Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
• Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
