Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Site Management:
    Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure they are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.


  • Daily Operations Supervision:
    Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure materials are delivered and work is performed in a timely manner.


  • Quality Control:
    Ensure that construction work meets or exceeds company and client standards by monitoring workmanship and ensuring compliance with building codes, plans, and specifications.


  • Scheduling and Coordination:
    Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule. Work with project managers, architects, and engineers to address potential delays and make necessary adjustments.


  • Safety Management:
    Implement and enforce company safety policies, perform regular safety audits, and ensure that safety protocols are strictly adhered to on site.


  • Problem-Solving:
    Identify and resolve any construction challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, including coordinating with the Superintendent to address any issues.


  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and records of site activities and progress. Provide updates to the Superintendent and project managers as needed.


  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise and motivate construction teams, ensuring a high level of productivity and morale on the job site.


  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, inspectors, and other key stakeholders to ensure expectations are met throughout the project.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and project management software.
  • OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications is a plus.
