Concrete Paving Foreman - Traveling

Southwest Concrete Paving Co, hands-on Paving Foreman to join our team. This position may manage the preparation and/ or execution of slipform and fixed form paving operations and construction of finished pavements meetings stringent FAA, USACE, and various state DOT specifications. This position not only completes operational tasks related to concrete paving jobs but also supervises skilled and general laborers on the job site. The individual in this position will work with Southwest Concrete Paving's job-site leadership daily to review procedures, plans, and results.

We are currently seeking candidates that will help us execute our projects in various locations and will require travel ( up to 100%).

Responsibilities

• Inspect conditions of grade, forms, and steel placement for compliance with specifications prior to concrete placements.
• Perform or assist with setup of slipform paving equipment.
• Coordinate and implement fixed form paving operations.
• Monitor all placement, finishing, and curing operations for specification compliance.
• Direct and communicate with crew members and project managers to ensure high quality pavements.
• Perform and report time and cost coding for all supervised/ managed employees.
• Monitor and help enforce safety rules and practices from all governing authorities and site- specific plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a construction/ paving foreman on heavy/ highway and airfield projects or related construction job-site management experience, preferred.
• Experience with GOMACO paving equipment, preferred.
• Experience leading or contributing to a concrete paving crew at airfields/ airports, preferred.
• Enhanced training or certifications in safety and/ or OSHA regulations, preferred.
• High degree of focus and attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to travel overnight to job sites up to 100% of the time
• Ability to gain clearance in restricted/ high-security zones. ( Airports AOA, Military Bases, etc.)
