Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. We are looking for a candidate that has strong project leadership skills and cutting edge technical know-how to help lead and coordinate system integration and testing efforts, supporting the development of engineering solutions. Coordination with customers and developing test procedures is a key part of the job. You must be flexible, dynamic and proactively communicate with your co-workers, management and customers alike. Finally, you must excel in managing your own time and prioritizing multiple requests, and you must thrive in an environment where you enjoy making contributions that positively impact the company's success.

Essential Functions:

  • Developing new systems designs, writing systems specifications, performing system level tests
  • Developing and executing systems level test plans and procedures
  • Perform interoperability test procedures on various avionics equipment
  • Analyzing data from lab and flight tests to identify trends, validate test results, and make recommendations based on findings
  • Working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and subject matter experts, to ensure that simulations meet the necessary requirements and constraints
  • Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets functional tests for new and/or modified software features
  • Investigates and supports troubleshooting of test setup and execution problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Must have 9 or more years of directly related professional experience, preferably in the aviation avionics industry
  • Experience must include developing and executing tests in a complex system
  • Experience must include writing systems validation and verification procedures
  • Must be a US citizen
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Good interpersonal skills and is able to work with multiple teams and be able to effectively work directly with customers
  • Knowledge and experience working with key stakeholders and customers to obtain voice of the customer and identifying key enablers for success
  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative to eliminate barriers and uses resources to ensure desired results in a timely manner
  • Ability to see the big picture and advocates integration of systems within product development teams
  • Fosters an environment that promotes creativity and innovation
  • Self-motivated with good communications skills that fosters candor in addressing issues
  • Able to work without appreciable management oversight and direction
