Cholla is hiring a compassionate Licensed Counselor to help us bring mental health into modern medicine. We are driven by data and technology, using those tools and information to help objectify treatment and standardize mental health for those who need treatment. Currently specializing in the co-occurring mental health disorders that accompany drug and alcohol addiction, we hope to find someone who cares about these patients as much as we do.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the nature and extent of clients' issues.

Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that outline goals and strategies for improvement.

Provide Counseling: Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities appropriate to client needs in a one on one and group setting.

Monitor Progress: Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on clients' progress and changing needs.

Maintain Records: Accurately document all sessions, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations to ensure client safety and stability.

Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate care and services for clients.

Client Education: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and in the community.

Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the field of counseling through continuing education and professional training.

Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Licensure: Active Independent Counselor license in Arizona.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, those with less encouraged to apply anyway.

Skills: Strong communication, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and ethical guidelines in counseling.

Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards at all times.

Certifications:

Arizona Level One Clearance Card

CPR and First Aid Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

In-Network with any Managed Care Organizations a plus.

AHCCCS ID.

Experience working with males and females ages 18-65.

Certification in addiction medicine a plus.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in an office or clinical setting.

Flexible, choose your own hours.

Potential for remote or telehealth counseling sessions, depending on organizational policies.

These requirements are non-exhaustive, and the position may require other duties or certifications in the future or as needed to maintain a high level of professionalism and care from the applicant.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $41.47 - $48.47 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
