Job Summary:

The Network Manager at Wecom Fiber will lead the telecommunications and fiber network operations, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance of the infrastructure. The role involves overseeing a team of network professionals and collaborating with cross-functional departments to support the seamless operation of telecommunications and fiber networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the telecommunications and fiber network infrastructure, including routers, switches, access points, and other networking devices, to ensure uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot telecommunications and fiber network issues, identify root causes, optimize configurations, and resolve connectivity problems promptly and efficiently.
• Implement and maintain security protocols, monitor network traffic, and conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of telecommunications and fiber data.
• Lead a team of network technicians and engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise in telecommunications and fiber network operations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute telecommunications and fiber network upgrades, expansions, and enhancements, aligning with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with telecommunications and fiber network standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a secure and reliable network environment.
• Document network configurations, changes, incidents, and performance metrics specific to telecommunications and fiber systems, ensuring accurate records and effective analysis.
• Configure and deploy telecommunications and fiber network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, to support network connectivity and services.
• Monitor telecommunications and fiber network performance, analyze data traffic, and optimize network resources to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Conduct network diagnostics, troubleshoot telecommunications and fiber connectivity issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate with telecommunications and fiber security teams to implement security measures, firewall rules, and access controls to protect network assets and data.
• Oversee telecommunications and fiber network installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Stay updated on emerging telecommunications and fiber network technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in network operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 5+ years of experience in network management in the telecommunications and fiber industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of network protocols, telecommunications and fiber technologies, routing, switching, and network security fundamentals.
• Leadership skills, team management experience, and the ability to lead telecommunications and fiber network teams effectively.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools, network analysis, and telecommunications and fiber troubleshooting techniques to maintain network performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, for collaborating with telecommunications and fiber IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Certification in network management, telecommunications, or related areas specific to the telecommunications and fiber industry is desirable.
