Orthopedic Spine Surgery opening in Phoenix, AZ

Full-time, permanent opening
Joining an established practice
Will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the spine using minimally invasive procedures
Requires a thorough understanding of spinal anatomy, the ability to perform complex spinal interventions, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
Utilize diagnostic tools such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and other imaging modalities to identify spinal disorders.
Develop and discuss appropriate treatment plans with patients, including surgical and non-surgical options.
Interventional Procedures:
Perform minimally invasive spine procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator placements.
Conduct advanced surgical techniques, including decompressions, fusions, and disc replacements.
Ensure the use of sterile techniques and adherence to best practices in the operating room.
Postoperative Care and Follow-Up:
Monitor patients' recovery and manage postoperative complications.
Provide comprehensive postoperative care instructions and coordinate follow-up appointments.
Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to optimize patient recovery.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, pain management specialists, physical therapists, and radiologists.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans.
Participate in case discussions, medical rounds, and team meetings.
Research and Education:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in spinal surgery and interventional techniques.
Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to research activities.
Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures and hands-on training.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical regulations, and quality standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
Fellowship training in Spine Surgery or Interventional Pain Management.
Licensure/Certification:
Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, or Pain Management.
Valid Arizona medical license
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:
Proven experience in performing interventional spine procedures and surgeries.
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating spinal disorders.
Skills:
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
