Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the construction industry, seeking a qualified Safety Manager to support their project team and ensure the safe and successful completion of construction projects. This position involves managing safety and health processes and working closely with the senior safety manager and project stakeholders.

A client that specializes in building development, construction and facility services in markets ranging from aviation to government, commercial, transportation, critical facilities, healthcare and transportation.

Description

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including project owners, insurance representatives, and trade partners.
  • Supporting safety culture initiatives, including participation in safety committees and charrettes.
  • Assisting in safety program development, implementation, and management, including safety budget planning and supply management.
  • Maintaining project safety documentation and statistical data.
  • Participating in safety inspections, audits, and training sessions for project staff.
  • Analyzing safety trends and implementing measures to address risks and unsafe practices.

Profile

  • Education: A 4-year degree is preferred, with an Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
  • Experience: In a safety role on commercial construction projects is recommended.
  • Certifications: Construction Health and Safety Technician certification is recommended.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
  • Other: A valid driver's license is required.
