V2X is currently seeking a Virtualization / Cloud Computing Senior SME to serve as a Key Technical Staff Leader in support of Army's Global Cyber Center (GCC). In this role, candidate applies deep organizational, technical, and analytical skills to operate, maintain, secure, and monitor Virtual Infrastructure (VI) internally and within Enterprise virtual systems owner environments. This role requires a strong mix of Information Technology (IT), people, process management, and analytical problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: Serves as the Virtualization / Cloud Computing Subject Matter Expert (SME). Oversees support of deploying, operating, maintaining, securing, and monitoring virtual infrastructure internally and within enterprise virtual systems owner environments. Provide expertise for private cloud services and capable planning for migrating to other cloud platforms. Develops solutions to complex technical scenarios. Provides direction for enclave administration, fault management, trouble analysis, incident handling and reporting, and system status reporting. Capable of leading, building, and installing computer infrastructure, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines. Tools include VMware and Hypervision. Creates and maintains policies and procedures. Install, configure, maintain, update, and patch virtual / physical storage for GCC and Enterprise-managed services. Provide recommendations on improving current SAN posture. Manage and update sustaining process to backup resources deemed necessary based on Government requirements or best business practices. Provide technical support and review for the implementation and integration plans of new configurations. Support development of a "single pane of glass", statistical analysis, and other data science-related reports, dashboards, and requirements. Works with vendors to evaluate new products. Develops applicable policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in routine meetings and special projects as required. Continually pursues organizational efficiencies. Material & Equipment Directly Used: Basic Office Equipment. Working Environment: Normal office environment. May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends. Physical Activities: Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. unassisted. Qualifications Education / Certifications: This position supports DCWF Work Role 628 (Advanced) and accordingly the candidate must possess VMware Certified Professional AND Azure Administrator Associate OR AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (or MCSE Cloud Platform & Infrastructure as the Microsoft-offered equivalent). U.S. citizenship is required. Active DoD Secret (T3) level Security Clearance. ITIL Foundations certification desired upon hire, required within three months of hiring date. Experience / Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating the ability and aptitudes, required to perform technical, managerial, and analytical work and coordination involving management of information systems. Must have a thorough understanding of Virtual / Cloud environments. Minimum of 3 years or more of supervisory experience. VMware, Hypervisor, SAN technologies, Power BI, USEIM.
