PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is excited to offer a hands-on opportunity as a Production Technical Operator - 1st Shift Rework Technician in Tucson, AZ. Join a dynamic, innovative design and manufacturing team where you'll play a crucial role in PCB assembly, rework, testing, and line maintenance. This onsite position offers great opportunities for overtime, skill-building, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with overtime encouraged
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on your experience
As a Production Technical Operator - Rework Technician on 1st shift, you'll work with a skilled team to perform PCB rework and repair, using your expertise in manual assembly, SMT soldering, in-circuit testing, and line setup. You'll have the freedom to troubleshoot, innovate, and drive quality in our production processes. With general guidance, you'll keep our assembly lines running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining top-quality standards.
What You'll Do:
Lead the manual assembly and operation of automated equipment, including SMT and through-hole soldering, following IPC standards.
Perform in-circuit and functional testing on PCB assemblies to ensure production quality.
Set up assembly lines, configure feeders, and maintain SMT equipment for optimal workflow.
Conduct preventative maintenance and basic repairs on feeders and assembly machinery.
Quickly identify and troubleshoot assembly or component issues, suggesting solutions to improve efficiency.
What You'll Bring:
In-depth knowledge of PCB assembly processes, SMT rework, and preventive maintenance.
Hands-on experience with quality standards, soldering techniques, and SMT processing systems.
Proficiency in setting up, operating, and maintaining soldering and SMT assembly tools.
Sharp problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
Qualifications:
Experience: 4-5 years in a similar PCB assembly, SMT, or rework role.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training preferred.
Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder; a background check and drug screen are required.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
