Job description

Inserso is seeking a senior Chief Technology Architect (CTA) to support a forward-looking U.S. Army customer in the southwest United States. The CTA will review legacy technology architectures, develop plans to modernize and improve those architectures, and advise the Army on best practices and the latest technologies. The CTA will provide leadership to a broader delivery team of Inserso staff as they build, operate, maintain, and secure on-premises and cloud-hosted IT infrastructure. The CTA reports to the contract Program Manager and advises the Inserso team leaders for engineering and operations. This position has significant customer-facing responsibilities and works directly with our customers to create and implement policies, select and engineer technologies, and improve service to Army users. Responsibilities:
• Performs expert-level systems development and design work that may include logical and physical network design, systems design, project cost projections, network and system architecture analysis, and systems engineering
• Acts as overall subject-matter expert for the program overseeing multiple tasks and projects
• Manage all audits, inspections, and accreditations across multiple networks
• Serves as liaison with customers, identifying requirements and developing solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Enterprise
• Oversees completion and implementation of system and network changes and makes recommendations to management and/or customers
• Leads team in identifying and resolving issues
• Maintains knowledge of current technologies and potential future technologies that can be used by the customer
• Tracks and advises senior leaders on how to best use Army and DISA enterprise capabilities
• Mentor and lead junior engineers Required Skills/Experience: • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a current DOD Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
• ITIL certified
• Possesses at least 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting on-premises and cloud-hosted systems and networks
• Possesses at least 10 years of experience supporting U.S. Army organizations, including experience with environments that connect to networks managed by the Army NEC • Experience with supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Virtualized Servers, consolidated storage, zero trust technologies, and software-defined networking
• Experience working with the Distributed Common Ground System Army (DCGS-A) environment
• DoD 8410 compliant upon start (CISSP or CompTIA Cloud+) Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Experience supporting DOD organizations in a Top Secret environment
• Experience participating in Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs)
• Supported and achieved ATOs for environments under the RMF framework
• Experience supporting Amazon and Azure cloud environments
• Master's Degree Preferred Physical and/or Mental Qualifications, if applicable :
• Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists
