Job description
Banner University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT) is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to assist in providing inpatient/outpatient Orthopedic care. Based out of BUMCT, this provider will work closely with a collaborative team, managing patients in our growing Orthopedic Medicine division. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented, a good communicator, and dedicated to providing excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
The ideal candidate must be energetic in nature and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The provider in this role will manage Ortho consults from the Emergency Room at our BUMC-T South Campus hospital as well as our outpatient Ortho clinic.
Details and qualification include:
- Team consists of 10 providers total
- Patients per day is variable depending on hospital consults
- Great opportunity to work with multiple sub-specialties within Ortho
- Ability to function independently while having a resource pool of Ortho Surgeons
- Experienced APP in Ortho, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine is helpful
- All experienced APP's will be considered regardless of specialty
Minimum Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Arizona License
- Current CPR and BLS
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
- Excellent communication skills and ready to thrive in an academic environment
- Strong decision making and ability to function in a collaborative care model
- Ability to work effectively within a team
Work Schedule : Full Time M-F Daytime Shift No Call, No Weekends!
