Raytheon is seeking a skilled electrical engineer with hands on experience troubleshooting and integrating various systems. The individual will need to be familiar mapping requirements to measured results.
What You Will Do:
- Work with various trades and designs for developmental programs within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) organization.
- Perform system integration activities within HWIL facilities to support system signal presentation
- Lead troubleshooting and failure investigation activities within HWIL facilities.
- Assist in generating requirements, statements of work, and verification plans to support HWIL design activities.
- Participate on HWIL engineering teams which are performing test system design, assembly and integration activities on developmental programs.
- Work in a team environment in HWIL facilities which support the full lifecycle of system development and sustainment activities.
- System level knowledge of developmental programs within HWIL.
- Advanced signal generation and presentation, across IF and RF test environments
- Experience working across multi-disciplined group of engineers.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Integration experience including hardware, software and/or firmware.
- Experience with schematic capture software (i.e. Mentor, CREO, or others).
- Active and transferrable US government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
- Existing SSBI clearance
- Experience with electronics design and/or experience conducting data analysis
- Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
- Knowledge of networking and IP addressed based equipment
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude
- Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance
- Familiar with various communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553
- Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis purposes
