Responsibilities You will be a member of the Asset Management team and perform the duties of a Local Property Officer (LPO) in direct support our for our client's asset portfolios to ensure accountability for government property as it is acquired by the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD), transferred to the field user organizations, and when required, screened for reutilization or disposal. You will work with technology diverse acquisition portfolios including mobile sensors; fixed sensors; command, control, and communications; and subterranean technologies. As an integral part of the government asset acceptance process, you will reconcile support documentation and create asset records in the government financial/asset management database and review purchasing transactions for completeness as part of the acquisition process. You will develop plans and participate in semi-annual and annual inventories to support government accountability and to support annual financial statement audit activities as necessary. Other duties may include: Management of assets for portfolios to ensure accountability through the acquisition, maintenance, and disposition phases Serving as a Local Property Officer and Inventory Taker Conducting Self-Governance Audits Conducting Annual Physical Inventories Conducting Semi-annual Critical Asset Inventories Monitoring and updating status to the Management Action Plan Updating incomplete asset records Facilitating asset transfers from PMOD to USBP sectors/stations Coordinating asset transactions with USBP sectors/stations Providing USBP sectors/stations asset management instructions for physical inventory after asset transfer Collaborating with USBP's Mission Support Directorate to develop and identify asset management training requirements Delivering asset management training on the use of SAP/ILSS to USBP sectors/stations Collaborating with external business partners on asset management matters Conducting policy and procedure reviews, internal and external Responding to external taskings from the Department of Homeland Security Participating in Quality Assurance Review (QAR) by Customs and Border Protection's Personal Property Program Management Office and Procurement & Property Management Division Conducting inventory and acceptance of property during on site installations Populating equipment in system of record/asset documentation Conducting project close-out and decommissioning Disposing of property/assets Conducting mission support activities Qualifications Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination Have 5+ years of experience in a property/asset management related discipline; or, 3+ years of experience in a property/asset management related discipline and a bachelor's degree Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 45 as it relates to the management of federal personal property from acquisition through disposal preferred Experience with SAP and Maximo asset management system is desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders Ability to effectively solve problems Strong communication skills, both oral and written A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment Targeted Salary Range: $60,000-100,000 Disclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
