Job description

Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of efficient, reliable, and scalable software solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in accordance with best practices.
Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features.
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
Investigate defect reports and provide timely resolutions.
Provide technical support and training to end users as needed.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the continuous improvement of software development practices. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field.
2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on object-oriented programming.
Proficiency in Java and experience with other programming languages such as C++ or Python.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts, including the software development lifecycle and software development process.
Experience working in Linux/UNIX environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and communicate concepts effectively.
Experience with tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Spring Boot is preferred.
Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and experience with microservices in cloud environments is a plus. Additional Requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.
Some roles may require active Top Secret/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo polygraph examinations. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital signal processing products and development.
Experience with software integration and diagnostics.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Knowledge of database systems and data structures. What You Will Learn:
