Job description

The Project Manager will lead the project from beginning to end with support from Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager, while also reporting directly to Director of Construction. This role will require a leader mentality and also an individual who will continue to maintain a positive work culture.

They desire hard-working individuals who manage a team and report directly to the Vice President with experience in heavy Civil projects including bridgework, highways and foundations, This construction firm offers a wide range of construction planning and management services and are always committed to understanding their client's needs.

Description

Senior Project Manager (Construction) will be responsible for the following:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with owners, owner's representatives, architects, designers, property managers, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication and delegation between all team members.
  • Mentor, coach and train Project Managers.
  • Financial management of all phases of projects (estimating, bidding, cost tracking to closeout).
  • Attend pre-bid/site review meetings.
  • Estimate construction budgets and review/prepare bid packages.
  • Monitor the performance of the project superintendents and ensure the highest industry standards are met by all subcontracted trades.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules and coordinate scope of work for all trades.
  • Accountable for owner contracts, subcontracts, PO's, associated changes orders, etc.
  • Coordinate and document weekly project site meetings.
  • Manage all submissions and inspections required by governing agencies.

Profile

Qualified Sr. Project Manager will have the following

  • 7+ years of previous experience working with a Civil Contractor
  • Experience as Lead Project manager on Civil projects
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
  • Must have experience running projects from start to finish
  • Strong software and technology skills is a plus
  • Able to communicate and be organized
  • Time Management Skills - making sure everything is on time and completed thoroughly
  • Experience managing teams is a plus
  • Up to date on the Construction Market and the newest technology
