General Surgery Opening in Fort Smith, AR- Located in Fort Smith, AR- BE/BC- Full Time; Permanent- Employed- Join an existing group of four employed general surgeons- The opportunity for growth is tremendous as this 492-bed facility has over 68,000 visits per year through the ER- The 103-bed sister hospital in Van Buren is only 15 minutes away and has over 27,000 visits per year- The draw area is a substantial portion of Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma with more than 40 clinics and over 100 employed providers- Full service hospital with 10 ORs and a full slate of specialty physicians- This includes interventional radiology and intensivist coverage in the 24 bed ICU- Also has Da Vinci Robotics including the XI and SI robots- The physician clinics are within walking distance to the hospitalLocated on the Arkansas River, Fort Smith is the third largest city in Arkansas and home to roughly 90,000 people. Fort Smith offers unique dining and shopping experiences, as well as access to some of the states richest history and art. The Fort Smith National Historic Site traces the towns origins as a military post during the frontier era and along with several other historic sites and museums continues to draw guests from across the country.
