E911 DISPATCHER We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated E-911 Dispatcher to join our team. As an E-911 Dispatcher, you will be responsible for answering emergency calls, gathering information from callers, and dispatching emergency responders to the scene. You must be able to remain calm under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and be able to multitask effectively. Responsibilities: Answer emergency calls in a prompt and professional manner Obtain essential information from callers, such as location, nature of emergency, and any other relevant details Dispatch emergency responders, such as police, fire, and EMS, to the appropriate location Use computer-aided dispatch systems to track and communicate with emergency responders Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers to help ensure their safety and the safety of others Stay up-to-date on emergency response procedures and protocols Coordinate with other agencies and departments as needed Maintain accurate records of all calls and dispatch activities Provide support and assistance to emergency responders as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a related field Knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays If you are a dedicated and reliable individual with a passion for helping others in emergency situations, we encourage you to apply for the position of E911 Dispatcher. Exempt: 911 Dispatch Reports To: 911 Director Location: 411 W Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThis safety sensitive (SS) position is responsible for receiving emergency and administrative calls from the public and dispatching the appropriate emergency personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Receives, monitors, and dispatches radio communications traffic for Police,EMS, Sheriff, and Fire, including all 911 calls.2. Receives and screens incoming telephone calls from the public and otherPublic safety agencies, categorize and prioritize calls during emergency.3. Dispatches the appropriate emergency personnel to incident locations, providesemergency medical instructions to callers prior to the arrival of emergencypersonnel as appropriate.4. Maintains a continuous log of incoming telephone and radio calls, logsincoming calls for participating agencies.5. Monitors and routes incoming messages from national and state computernetworks.6. Checks, confirms, ads, and deletes in-house warrants.7. Participates in training exercises to include in-house training, GPS tracking, AWIN,CAD updates, ACIC recertification, etc.8. Completes work site cleanup.9. Updates the contact list.10.
