Job Title: Senior Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for construction projects and a proven track record of accurately forecasting costs and resources needed for project completion. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop accurate and comprehensive estimates for various stages of projects, including conceptual, preliminary, and final bid estimates.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine the costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination: Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project scope.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and timelines, to clients and stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimates are aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in construction techniques, and cost management practices to improve estimation accuracy.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in estimating within the commercial or residential sector.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar) and strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex project plans and specifications, and accurately forecast project costs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present estimates clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to cost estimation.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior estimators, and to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
