Job description

Duties Develops long range strategic plan and short-range business plans. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Formulates directorate policies based upon general guidance furnished by the commander or deputy. Justifies budget and staffing requirements as presented in the final Command Budget. Reviews and approves plans and budgets of subordinate offices. Conducts briefings and tours for general officers and legislative personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Business travel is required 20% of the time. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. This is an Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics-Advanced Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty. This is a Critical Acquisition Position. If selected, you must sign an Acquisition Corps written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal service in this position for a period of at least three years. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
