Job Details

As Senior Cost Accountant, you will oversee all cost accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities include:

Managing all accounts, ledgers, reporting systems, and accounting controls to maintain compliance with standards and regulations.
Improving the annual budgeting process and conducting monthly reviews of departmental spending.
Overseeing external audits to guarantee no material misstatements.
Preparing weekly financial flash reports and reviewing operational metrics.
Reviewing work-in-process batches for accuracy, posting encapsulation/bottling fees, and analyzing rework costs.
Maintaining sub-ledger activities including inventory, WIP, and BOMs.
Analyzing and updating encapsulation/bottling fees until labor rates are implemented.
Collaborating with Purchasing on standard material cost updates.
Partnering with Warehouse/Inventory Control on cycle counts and physical inventories.
Working with Supply Chain to reduce aged and obsolete inventory.
Implementing and training Production team on labor/material capture.
Participating in initiatives to reduce waste and material losses.
Providing analytics and reports on manufacturing costs to management.
In summary, you will lead cost accounting operations, deliver timely and accurate reporting, and identify opportunities for improved financial performance.

REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years of Accounting experience (including Cost Accounting)
Large ERP experience
Must have come from manufacturing/food/drug backgrounds
