Job description

We have a great career opportunity with a well-established California law firm that is seeking a mid-level associate to join their recognized Commercial Litigation practice. We are searching for a motivated associate with excellent academic credentials, who works well on a team, and has a minimum of four years of litigation experience. Associates are trusted to handle all aspects of litigation, working collaboratively with attorneys and regularly updating clients.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 4-7 years of commercial litigation experience, such as breach of contract, partnership disputes, insurance law, employment disagreements, product liability, and/or business torts and class actions
• Experience drafting and arguing motions, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation
• Strong writing and case management skills, direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and client communication
• Proficient in handling multiple cases and priorities while meeting deadlines efficiently
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
• Trial experience is preferred, but not a requirement
