Description:

Support a robust Microsoft based network running Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, etc. Basic Desktop and Networking support knowledge on Windows Operating systems, OS error conditions, IPConfig Command, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and Group policy. PC Desktop, Laptop and Tablet expertise needed to perform the duties of this position. Mac experience is a plus. Under the guidance of IT representatives, duties may include some or all of the following: receiving assets, moving equipment within and/or between facilities, staging equipment for build/image activity, interviewing clients as part of pre-deployment asset discovery, execute against the deployment plan, executing equipment replacement activity, updating asset management system to reflect work performed, reporting and monitoring daily activity, installing and maintaining PC hardware and software, troubleshooting network usage and computer peripherals, perform data transfer and recovery, resolve network communication problems independently, e-mail administration, preparing assets for disposition, other administrative duties.

Skills Required: Minimum 2 years experience with PC support, including deployment. Minimum 2 years experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair. Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications. Minimum 1-year experience with direct client interaction and proven customer service. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Adaptable to change in process or required activities. Attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Quick learner. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality results. Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality. Manage incoming and outgoing assets. Prepare systems for deployment. Scan existing asset for applications and settings. Interview clients to identify special considerations and other settings. Use Client tools to execute PC activity. Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements. Escalate quickly when issues arise. Assist other technicians as needed. Extensive experience in profile management and data transfer. Advanced user of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Known for working efficiently with minimal supervision. Committed to learn and relate technical concepts promptly.

Equipment:

What is the max value of the equipment that someone may be asked to carry in their personal vehicle?

2 to 3 systems total value approximately, anything beyond that we need to be made aware as the site is not following proper Sox controls

How frequently would travel occur where equipment would be transported in personal vehicle?

Anytime a technician is doing a remote refresh, he/she will carry said equipment in car, this could be daily

What is the average distance that equipment may be transported in personal vehicle?

Most site average distance is 20 miles

Driving:

Will Workstation PC Technician contingent workers be asked to drive a Client vehicle for any purpose?

We have sites that have Client Vehicle fleet and the techs are trained and certified before being granted or asked to drive a Client Vehicle, part of the certification ensure insurance coverage through Client.
