Job description

Duties DUTY 1: Provides expertise for executing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), geospatial intelligence, and intelligence production for combat mission planning and execution. Provides the Flight Leader, ISR Squadron Commander, ISR Group Commander, and other leadership with guidance on technical, diverse multi-intelligence functions, to include HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source Fusion Analysis, and DCGS. DUTY 2: Plans, organizes, and executes the activities of the ISR Flight. Has responsibility to the ISR Flight Commander for planning, executing, and sustaining intelligence for ISR functions/operations to include AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) weapon system, AF tactical intelligence systems, and AF national intelligence systems, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, and All-Source Fusion Analysis in support of the U.S. Air Force, DoD, and National level Agencies in the areas of foreign intelligence, foreign counterintelligence, counterterrorism, anti-terrorism, combat operations, and peacekeeping/peace building operations worldwide. DUTY 3: Serves as an AFRC ISR specialist, interfacing with AFRC and AF Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the ISR Group as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) ISR units, missions, and operations. DUTY 4: Responsible for managing and ensuring that work complies with requirements and meets customer needs. Analyzes Air Force Reserve and RegAF capability to execute required ISR activities; develops and implements plans geared to attain and maintain the highest level of combat mission ready proficiency. DUTY 5: Assists in implements crew and ground training requirements. Analyzes directives from higher headquarters and information available in the form of accident and mission readiness reports in order to develop operational plans, standard operating procedures, and implementing instructions pertaining to general military training of ISR personnel in ISR functions/ operations. The incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY). The incumbent must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access. This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position. The incumbent of this position may be selected for random drug testing and be subject to reasonable suspicion testing and safety mishap or accident testing. Qualifications THIS IS AN AIR RESERVE TECHNICIAN (ART) POSITION ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the Air Force (AF0 Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency. 1N271A- TSgt/E-6" This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, or operations requiring extended training and experience in order to perform a wide variety of interrelated or non-standard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems: or practical knowledge of standard procedures in a technical field. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Must be fully qualified intelligence specialist, preferably having operational experience in two of the following intelligence disciplines/operations-HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination. 2. Knowledge of ISR requirements and associated processes to support Combatant Commands and Theater Air Force Component Commands and understanding of ISR concepts, capabilities, and operations. Knowledge must include laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect operational programs and related support resources. 3. Knowledge of ISR plans and policies pertaining to ISR operations and unit operational activities. Knowledge of organizational principles and practices, program goals, missions, functions, administrative operations of the ISR Group, 10 AF and HQ AFRC. 5. Knowledge and understanding of a large range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command. 6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for management use and decision-making. Ability to plan and organize activities, manage multiple taskings, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). 2. This is Air Reserve Technician Enlisted TSgt/E-6 position. Individuals selected for this an ART position must meet and maintain ART requirement. Applicants for ART position must currently be a member of the Air Force Reserve or willing and eligible to join the Air Force Reserves. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
